Albert J. Fiori
Albert J. Fiori, 84, of Price Drive, Topton, PA (Longswamp Township), died Sunday, November 28, 2004, in Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head, SC. He was the husband of Carole J. (Schwar) Fiori. They were married 22 years last August 7th. His first wife, Betty (Honesberg) Fiori died on May 22, 1981.
Born in Manyunck, PA, he was the son of the late Albert H. and the late Mary (Papiro) Fiori. He was the owner of the former Reading Machine and Tool Company, Reading, from 1961 to 1984. He was a 1939 graduate of the Roman Catholic Boys High School, Philadelphia, PA, and a graduate of the Wharton Business School, Philadelphia. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Berks County Chapter. He was also a volunteer at the Lutheran Home at Topton and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown.
He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Joanne M. (Fiori) Roccamanta, Reading, Anne F. (Fiori) O’Leary, Johnstown; Son, Paul Fiori, Greensboro, MD; Stepson, Dana J. Romich, Downingtown; Stepdaughter, Susan K. (Romich) Hartman, Reading; Brother, Anthony Fiori, Collegeville; Sister, Mary (Fiori) Raymond, Conshohocken; 11 Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Paul Fiori.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, December 3, 2004, at 9:30 AM from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. Interment with Military Honors in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Friends may call Friday from 8:00 to 9:30 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions to the Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton, 19562 or the Memorial Fund of the church, 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
