Carl E. Christman

Carl E. Christman, 78, of 90 Dietrich Valley Road, Kutztown (Greenwich Township), died Friday, February 13, 2004, in his home. He was the husband of Evelyn F. (George) Christman. They were married on January 26, 1946.

Born in Richmond Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late William C. and the late Sallie (Oswald) Christman. He was a self-employed dairy and crop farmer from 1953 to 1994. From 1953 to the present he was a crop farmer. He was a member of the Lyons Fire Company, Lyons, and, a past member of the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club, Kutztown, where he served on the Board of Directors during the 1950’s.

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Sterling C., Virginville (Richmond Township), and Carl W., Kutztown (Greenwich Township); Sister, Helen (Christman) Krick, Kutztown (Richmond Township); Half Sisters, Phyllis Christman, Kutztown (Greenwich Township), and Anita Christman, Kutztown (Greenwich Township); 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a Daughter, Carol A. Christman, in 1951.

Funeral services are Private at the convenience of the family. Private interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
