Charles G. Newkirk
Charles G. Newkirk, age 62, of 39 Sunny Ridge Court, Kutztown PA, died Saturday, March 17, 2001 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the Husband of Sandra C. (Day) Newkirk. They celebrated their 18th Wedding Anniversary last May.
Born in Ohio, he was the Son of the late Charles S. and Beatrice (Collins) Newkirk. He was a graduate of Wilmington College, Wilmington, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He was a partner in the Century 21 Epting Realty Office, Kutztown since 1996. He was a realtor since 1988. Prior to that he owned, along with his wife, the former Mr. Angus Restaurant, Allentown. Prior to that he was the Plant President of the former Bertolini Engineering Company, Leesport PA. He was a member of New Bethel United Church of Christ Church, Kempton. He was a retired Major of the United States Army National Guard. He retired in 1997.
He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Gregg C. Newkirk of Sinking Spring PA, Blaine S. Newkirk of Reading PA and Denis M. Newkirk of Kutztown PA; Step Son, Eric R. Anderson of Milford CT; Step Daughter, Lisa S., wife of Peter R. Abdill of South Orange NJ; Brothers, Donald Newkirk of Ohio, William Newkirk of Ohio, Kenneth Newkirk of Ohio and Timothy Newkirk of Ohio; Sisters, Sue Clement of Ohio, Pam Criss of Ohio and Robin Newkirk of Ohio; 5 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. He was predeceased in death by his son, Brent C. Newkirk who died in July 1977.
Services are Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment Friedens Church Cemetery, Lenhartsville. Friends may call Wednesday 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
