Charles H. Kemp

Charles H. Kemp, 89, of E. Weis Street, Topton, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Lillian R. (Shoemaker) Kemp. They were married on July 17, 1942.

Born in District Township, Berks County, he was the son of the late Charles D. and Lila (Greiss) Kemp. He was a spot welder and tow motor driver for the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, for over 45 years retiring in 1981. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a life member of the Ray A. Master American Legion, Post #217, Topton; and a member of the Pike Township Sportsman’s Assn. He was a member of the UCC Congregation of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis.

He is survived by Wife, Son, Barry C. Kemp, Millsboro, DE; Sisters, Grace (Kemp) Kern, Fleetwood, Alice (Kemp) Brensinger, Topton, Florence (Kemp) Meck, Macungie; Brother, Woodrow Kemp, Alburtis; Grandsons, Darin C. Kemp, Dustin T. Kemp; Great Grandson, Tyler C. Kemp.

Graveside Services are Monday, June 11, 2007 at 10:30 AM in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown.

The family requests contributions to Ray A. Master American Legion, Post #217, Topton, 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
