Chester D. Croll, Sr.

Chester D. Croll, Sr., 65, of Roth Avenue, Mertztown, PA died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, shortly after admission. He was the husband of Loraine M. (Nelson) Croll. They were married on May 8, 1961.

Born in Lehighton, PA, he was the son of the late Melvin C. and the late Lois (Campbell) Croll. He was a security guard for over 5 years at PSI, Reading, last working November 29th. Prior to that he was a tow motor operator for 3 years at Sunsweet, the former Redcheek, Fleetwood, PA; and, he was a tractor trailer driver for Ryder, Bath, PA. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton.

He is survived by Wife, Son, Chester D., Jr. husband of Sherry D. (Miller) Croll, Mertztown; Daughter, Michelle L. wife of Jason S. Hermany, Tamaqua; Brothers, Glenn Croll, Sr., Nazareth, Robert Croll, Coplay; 7 Grandchildren. He was predeceased by Son Robin C. Croll, Sr, and Brother Gary Croll.

Funeral Services are Monday, December 4, 2006 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment with Military Honors in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Friends may call Sunday, December 3, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

The family requests contributions to the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion Honor Guard, 122 Centre Avenue, Topton, PA 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
