Dallas G. Oswald
Dallas G. Oswald, 66, of South Laurel Street, Kutztown, died Sunday, December 19, 2004, in his home after a hard fought battle with leukemia. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Seidel) Oswald. They were married 44 years last February 27th.
Born in Hamburg, PA, he was the son of the late Paul H. and the late Verna I. (Wartzenluft) Oswald. He was a custodian for the Kutztown Area School District for five years retiring in September of 2004. Prior to that he was the manager of the former Pollard Tire Company and Texaco Gas Station, Kutztown, for 20 years retiring in 1999. He was a former member of the Kutztown Lions Club receiving the Melvin Jones Award in 1998. He was a member of Christ (DeLong) UCC Church, Bowers.
He is survived by Wife, Son, Dallas G. Oswald, Jr., Orefield; Daughters, Kim L. (Oswald) Stryer, Newark, CA, Wanda J. (Oswald) Weiser, Kutztown; Brothers, Donald R. Oswald, Schnecksville, Marvin G. Oswald, Kutztown; 6 Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Thursday, December 23, 2004, at 10:30 AM from Christ (DeLong) UCC Church, 63 Old Bowers Road, Bowers. Interment in Ziegel’s Church Union Cemetery, Fogelsville. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
