Elinor W. Landis
Elinor W. Landis, 86, of Kutztown, PA, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in her home.
She was the daughter of Lewis W. Winkler and Ellen E. (Sampson) Winkler and was “big sister” to Lewis A. Winkler, deceased, and Richard A. Winkler. Both she and her husband, Richard B. Landis, were raised in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. They married in 1943. Together, they raised three daughters, Nancy, Jacqueline, and Eileen, and two sons, William and John. Small in stature like her parents, both wonderful storyteller and listener, she was full of love and fun. She made others feel special. She devoted her self to her husband, her children, and her children’s families, including eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her life gave meaning to their lives and memories of her will sustain those who knew and loved her.
In May, the family will hold a service to honor her. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
