Gloria H. DeLong
Gloria H. DeLong, 81, of Woodside Avenue, Mertztown (Longswamp Township), died Monday, August 29, 2005, in her residence. She was the wife of the late Carl F. DeLong who died on March 9, 2001.
Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late John C. and the late Emaline (Shingel) Waughtel. She worked in the laundry department at the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton, for several years; and, she was a folder at the former Marcus Manufacturing, Topton, for over 10 years retiring in the mid 1980’s.
She is survived by Son, Craig A. DeLong, Blue Ridge, VA; Daughters, Sandra E. (DeLong) Boyer, Saylorsburg, PA, Deborah L. (DeLong) Miller, Hanover, PA; Sister, Dorothy (Waughtel) Tully, Dorchester, MA; 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 1:00 PM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Inurnment at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Berks Visiting Nurse Association, 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
