Gloria J. Jarrett
Gloria J. Jarrett, 75, of State Street, Mertztown, died Monday, March 26, 2007 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of George W. Jarrett. They were married on November 2, 1951.
Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Luther J. C. and Anna I. (Guth) Miller. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mertztown. She was a life member of the VFW #7071 Ladies Auxiliary, Longswamp, and a member of the former Longswamp Lioness Club.
She is survived by Husband, Daughter, Faye A. (Jarrett) wife of Forrest L. Strachan, Fleetwood; Son, Randall G. husband of Sandra A. (Keiser) Jarrett, Mertztown; Sisters, Jean R. (Miller) wife of Merritt W. Jacoby, Palatine, IL, Lucille A. (Miller) wife of Elwood F. Laudenslager, Orefield; Brothers, Paul J. C. husband of Mary (Edwards) Miller and Donald L. husband of Paulette (Valente) Miller both of Allentown; Grandchildren, Jonathon P. Strachan, Steven A. Strachan and Amanda L. Jarrett.
Memorial Services are Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown. Inurnment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
