Lila M. Freeby, 83, formerly of 45 East Washington Street, Topton, died Friday, February 11, 2005, in The Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Twp., where she resided since September 17, 2002. She was married to the late Howard J. Freeby, Sr., who died October 3, 1991.
Born in Longswamp Twp., Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles, Sr., and the late Lila M. (Greiss) Kemp. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.
She is survived by Sons, Howard J. Freeby, Jr., Kutztown, Kerry L. Freeby, Alburtis, Lehigh County, PA; Daughters, Betty J. (Freeby)Reinert, Poplar, WI, Grace A. (Freeby) Gruber, Lenhartsville, PA, Shirley A. (Freeby) Derr, Mertztown, PA, Miriam L. (Freeby) Dietrich, Kutztown, PA, Nancy M. Freeby-Schadler, Topton, PA; Brothers, Charles H. Kemp, Topton, PA, Woodrow W. Kemp, Alburtis, Lehigh County, PA; Sisters, Florence (Kemp) Meck, Macungie, Lehigh County, PA, Grace (Kemp) Kern, Fleetwood, PA, Alice (Kemp) Brensinger, Topton, PA; 16 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, February 15, 2005, 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown (Longswamp Twp.). Friends may call Tuesday, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
