Paul B. Kutz

Paul B. Kutz, 78, of Birch Street, Lyon Station, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 in his residence. He was the husband of Mary E. (Immel) Kutz. They were married on September 16, 1950.

Born in Richmond Township, Berks County, he was the son of the late Solon E. and Buelah C. (Houck) Kutz. He was a self employed building contractor for Kutz Construction from 1952 to 2001. He was a former Vice President of the Lyons Borough Council and former President and active member of the Bowers Lions Club, Bowers. He was a member of the UCC Congregation of Zion’s Union Church, Maxatawny, where he served as a Deacon, Elder and Past President of the Church Council for several terms.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Patricia M. Kutz wife of George W. Statzell IV, Fleetwood; Son, Mark E. husband of Susan S. (Silver) Kutz, Douglassville; Sister, Mabel G. (Kutz) widow of Paul Fox, Robesonia; Brother, George H. husband of Anna (Holben) Kutz, Kutztown; and, Grandsons Peter Z. Kutz, Joel T. Kutz and George W. Statzell, V. He was predeceased by Son, Paul B. Kutz, Jr. on August 12, 1985.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Friends may call Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, 19605. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
