Ruth E. Behm
Ruth E. Behm, 95, formerly of E. High St., Topton, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, in the In-Patient Hospice unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown where she was admitted on July 7, 2006 from The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she resided since 1999. She was the widow of William V. Behm who died April 10, 1999.
Born in Albany Twp., Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Oliver D. and Minnie V. (Siegfried) Grim. She worked for 10 years as a silk weaver for the former East Penn Weaving Co., Topton from 1930 to 1940. She was vice president of the Topton Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary from 1940 to 1945. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Rockland Twp.
She is survived by Brother, Russell R. Grim, Topton, PA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are Thursday, July 12, 2006 at 1:30 PM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis St., Topton. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call Thursday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
The family requests contributions to the Memorial Fund of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Rd., Fleetwood, 19522 or Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown, 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
