Thomas J. Cernobyl

Thomas J. Cernobyl, 53, of Kutztown, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in his family residence. He was the husband of Francine T. (Szilezy) Cernobyl.

Born in Allentown, PA, he was a son of the late Cyril A. and Theresa D. (Bizek) Cernobyl. He was a 1971 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School, Allentown. He was first employed by Caloric Corporation, Topton. He then worked as a die setter at Sappi Fine Paper, Fogelsville for over 15 years. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown.

He is survived by Wife, Daughters; Catherine A. (Cernobyl) wife of Orlando White, Bethlehem, Carrie M. (Cernobyl) wife of Tab A. Rhode, Kempton; Sister, Roseann (Cernobyl) Danilnovitz, Allentown. In addition, there are 5 Grandchildren, Briana White, Nadia White, Selena White, Orlando White, Jr. and Emma Jewel Rhode. He was predeceased by Brothers Joseph and George Cernobyl.

Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, July 9, 2007 10:00 a.m. from Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. Interment with military honors in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Monday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
