Stanley W. Radcliffe

I would like to pass along my condolences to the Radcliffe family.  I know the pain to lose a family member---whether it be a father or a grandfather.  Having grown up as a child and teenager in Mertztown, PA, I had the opportunity to work at Radcliffe's IGA part-time in the from 1983 - 1989.  While Stanley may have officially retired in 1982, his face was a familiar one, and his family was personally close friends to me.  His granddaughter Tina was my best friend during our high school years.  I also was personally close to his granddaughter Dawn.  Additionally, my family were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and his wife Dot (Dorothy) was someone I would talk to on a regular basis.  My heart goes out to her and her family.  May the memories long live on in your lives.

Sincerely,
Melanie Smith

I had just seen Stanley 8/13 at Airport Diner, so I was surprised to hear about his death. I am glad I had that opportunity to talk to him at least one time. I could not get to the viewing because I had to go bowling. After all those years of bowling with him, I am sure he would forgive me for missing.

WE WANT TO SEND OUR CONDOLENCE TO THE RADCLIFFE FAMILIES. WE KNOW THEM SINCE WE GOT MARRIED IN 1950. THAT WHOLE FAMILY IS SO NICE; THEY TREAT EVERY ONE LIKE FAMILY. WHEN WE ARE SHOPPING, WE CAN TALK TO THEM, OR ASK THEM ANYTHING, AND THEY ARE ALWAYS NICE ENOUGH TO HELP YOU OUT, OR CHAT WITH YOU. STANLEY HAS A GREAT FAMILY, HE WAS A GOOD MAN. HE WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYBODY. HIS STORE IS A FAMILY STORE, AND THAT’S WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL, WE ARE GLAD WE KNEW HIM SO LONG.
THE MASTER FAMILY, RIP
