Verdie M. Sanders
Verdie M. Sanders, 81, of Topton, PA died Monday, August 13, 2007 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, where she had been a patient since August 6th. She was the wife of the late Melvin W. Sanders who died on August 14, 2003.
Born in Rockland Township, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Elsie H. (Rohrbach) Behm. She worked at the former Wenton and Adidas Shoe Factories, Kutztown, for 32 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.
She is survived by Daughter, Elaine M. (Sanders) wife of Terry L. Seip, Mertztown; Sons, Charles M. husband of Gabriele (Berger) Sanders, Mohrsville, Barry W. husband of Sandra A. (Eisenhard) Sanders, Macungie; Sisters, Mildred F. (Behm) Isamoyer, Topton, Myrtle (Behm) Merkel and Miriam M. (Behm) Ohlinger, both of Mertztown; Brother, Samuel P. Behm, Kutztown; Grandchildren, Shelly L. (Sanders) Zgura, Michael L. Seip, Stacy A. (Sanders) Petroske, Steven L. Seip; Step Grandchildren, Heidi (Schwenger) Coleman, Petra (Schwenger) Post; 3 Great Grandchildren; 4 Step Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
