Warren J. Oswald
Warren J. Oswald, age 91, of 422 North Park Ave., Mertztown, died Wednesday, August 6, 2003, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Helen A. (Geist) Oswald, who died in 1999.
Born in Topton, he was a son of the late Daniel L. and Katie L. (DeLong) Oswald. He was a press operator for Caloric Corp., formerly of Topton, for more than 30 years before retiring in 1977. Previously, he was a laborer in the shell treatment department of Bethlehem Steel Corp., 1941-45. He was a Lutheran. He and his late wife were the poster couple for the Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract with the Elderly program in 1996.
He is survived by Sons, Richard D. and Paul C., both of Mertztown; Daughters, Carolyn M. Seidel of Maxatawny, Mary A. Lloyd of Macungie, Kathryn S. Grow of Mertztown; Sister, Marie Hilbert of Mertztown; Half sister, Mae Orth of Allentown; Stepbrother, Warren Rohrbach of Macungie; 13 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 21 Great-grandchildren, 9 Step Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Warren J. Jr.
Services are 10:00 AM Saturday, August 9, 2003, Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis St., Topton. Calling hours are 9:00 – 10:00 AM Saturday. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
