Warren K. “Skooney” Lantz
Warren K. “Skooney” Lantz, 86, of South Callowhill Street, Topton, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 in his residence. He was the husband of Madeline G. (Wotring) Lantz. They were married on September 30, 1949.
Born in Topton, he was a son of the late George L. and Mary (Rhoads) Lantz. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was a dispatcher for 35 years for Buckeye Pipeline, Macungie, retiring in 1986. He was past president and member of the Ray A. Master American Legion Post #217, Topton; a former auditor for the Topton Borough for over 20 years; and a member of the 80th Division Veterans Association. He was a member of St. Peter’s UCC Church, Topton.
He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Nancy M. (Lantz) wife of Ernest D. Adams, Pottstown, Mary A. (Lantz) wife of Harvey J. Beberman, Englewood, NJ, Jane L. Lantz wife of James R. Springer, Topton; Sisters, Beatrice R. (Lantz) wife of Robert Adams, Topton, Mildred E. (Lantz) wife of Robert Vanscoy, Bonita Springs, FL, Elsie G. (Lantz) wife of Robert DeSantis, Arlington, TX; Brothers, Willard J. husband of Jean E. (Barto) Lantz, Leesport, Earl “Spike” Lantz, Topton; Grandsons, Kenneth E. Adams and Randal Duke Adams; Great Grandchildren, Zachary K. Adams, Joshua D. Adams and Samuel B. Adams.
Memorial Services are Friday, August 3, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Inurnment with Military Honors in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
The family requests contributions to Ray A. Master American Legion Post #217, 122 Centre Avenue, Topton, 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
