William T. Lowe

William T. Lowe, 74, of Quarry Road, Kutztown (Maxatawny Township), died Sunday, August 7, 2005, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, (Salisbury Township) where he had been a patient since August 4th. He was the husband of the late Betty (Drumheller) Lowe who died on September 25, 1992.

Born in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late William T. and the late Lillian M. (Jones) Lowe. He was a line supervisor at the Dana Corporation, Reading, retiring in the early 1990’s. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Merchant Marines from 1949 to 1951; the US Army from 1952 to 1953; the US Navy from 1954 to 1956; and, he served in the US Army Reserve for 20 years until 1978.

He is survived by Brothers, Carl E. Lowe, Texas, Frank Lowe, Brandon, Florida, Charles E. Wharton, St. Petersburg, FL, Robert E. Cowles, Dade City, FL; Sisters, Carolyn E. (Lowe) Merrill, Bath, NC, Frances Becky (Lowe) Johns, Lima, Ohio, Roberta E. (Lowe) Hermann, Fruitvale, Idaho, Edna M. (Lowe) Price, Beatrice, Nebraska.

Graveside Services are Friday, August 12, 2005, at 1:30 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville (Lebanon County). Friends may call Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.

The family requests contributions to the Oley Valley Community Education Foundation, Attention: Heidi Farinas, 17 Jefferson Street, Oley, PA 19547. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
